This is the verse that my team puts on our tshirts and some of our gear. Hebrews 12:1-2 "Since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith..."
It is hard in this life when people discourage us and things go wrong. We just have to put that aside and run the lifelong race for Jesus because unlike and cross country race we participate in, running the race for Jesus will always have a lasting reward.
