DIY Healthy Ice Cream

This picture may not look too appetizing, as it looks like dirt, but I promise, it is not dirt.  I was trying to find a way to use some things that I had at home to stretch out the time until I would go to the store to get some more things for dessert.  It didn't turn out exactly ice cream texture, but it was still very good!
In my bigger blender, I threw in yogurt, frozen yogurt, cocoa powder, almond milk, cow milk, Reece's Pieces, peanuts, dark chocolate snickers, vanilla, vanilla protein powder, and at this point, I really can't remember what else.  I blended it, froze it, and kept it to scoop out for or to add to dessert for a week or so!  Since it had quite a bit of liquid in it, it froze pretty solid, so I had to let it thaw a little in the fridge during dinner before I would take any out.

Some other flavors I may try like this sometime are:  banana, peanut butter banana, coffee, orange

Color Coordination

Color Coordination Makes Me Happy
I just love to match up all my outfits, down to even the stuff you can't see when I can.  I match my accessories, like pens for example, too.  Since the Christmas season has snuck up on me so fast, I have only gotten to do two outfits so far!  I need to get on it...

In the top picture is my Peanuts snow day t shirt, my Charlie Brown Christmas Tervis, and some "Be generous" chapstick that I bought for only a dollar at Target.  (Target is my favorite store to Christmas shop.)  I love how that not only is cute and Christmasy, but it reminds me to be generous with all that I have.  We also watched the movie at school Friday!  My phone case is from SkinIt, where I customized it myself.
This is the outfit I am wearing at the moment!  (I forgot to put the socks in the picture, so I put them separate below.)  Today I am wearing the bright Christmas green with elf socks and bow earrings.  Bath & Body Works is my favorite place to buy body care items this time of year.  Their holiday scents are fantastic!  I used vanilla bean noel today since it is green and matches color wise.

Heath Pieces Pancakes

Recees Pieces now have friends in York, Almond Joy, Hershey's, Heath, and so many more!  At target last weekend the Heath Pieces were really calling my name, so I grabbed a pack.  I had a feeling that they would make some super pancakes, and here they are!  Whole grain batter with cocoa powder, vanilla extract, vanilla protein powder, and Heath Pieces!  Topped with honey and syrup, they were so satisfying!

Pumpkin Spice Cream of Wheat

Ever heard of Cream of Wheat?  Many think that this is an old people, yucky food.  I disagree!  I love the creaminess and unlimited flavors you can create!  I make it often for breakfast, lunch, snacks, and even a side with dinner.

This one I made for a pre-church breakfast Sunday morning.  I use the whole wheat version that doesn't come with flavor already mixed in, so I can mix my own.  The liquid I use is Silk Unsweetened Vanilla Almond Milk, because it gives things like oatmeal and cream of wheat a slightly sweeter flavor while adding just the right amount of creaminess.  I added some canned pumpkin, vanilla extract, pie spice, nutmeg, ginger, and cinnamon, topping it off with some pumpkin seeds!

I try to find any creative way to use pumpkin that I can, especially during the fall and winter seasons!  It also has many health benefits!

Caramel Pumpkin Pie Protein Shake

Friday mornings are my smoothie and popcorn in first block days, so this time I decided to take a different path with my smoothie.

I love pumpkin if you didn't know already, so I made one just like a pie, but healthier!

This shake has:
pumpkin (of course)
pumpkin butter
vanilla yogurt
cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, and pumpkin pie spice
Yoplait Greek Honey Caramel Frozen Yogurt
Honey Maid low fat honey graham crackers
cheesecake flavor pudding
vanilla protein powder
vanilla
This shake is great for you all who are craving all the indulgences of the fall seasons!  You can have the sweet stuff and still feel good about it, too!  This is a yummy choice for those hard workers who need an extra boost, since it has a little healthy fat from the Yoplait, carbs from the pumpkin, yogurt, and whole grain in the graham crackers, dairy from the yogurts and pudding, and antioxidants from the spices.
